My daughter and I just transformed inexpensive composition books into personal Gratitude and Life List journals this past weekend. She returned to grad school yesterday. I found your blog today and have sent her the URL for it.
Comparing today’s entry with the Jan. 5th entry has inspired me to create two Life lists: Now and Soon. The Now lists resembles today’s entry in that it is a near cousin to a Resolutions list but has attainable, measurable goals that I can begin implementing in the morning. Accomplishing these will provide immediate feel-good energy that can sustain me while I work towards the Soon/Later list.
The Soon list (or Later for those a bit younger than me) is practical or transformation goals that may need several steps to achieve but are quite do-able and long-desired. Accomplishing these goals may require more money, skill or time than I think I have now, but writing them down will give my subconscious something to resolve and pull me towards and my conscious mind something to look forward to while I am being lifted by my Now list goals.
Thank you for developing and publishing this blog. I am looking forward to reading more entries.
I just stopped by your blog and thought I would say hello. I like your site design. Looking forward to reading more down the road.
What a lovely idea you both had. I like your Now and Soon (or Now and Later!) journals and I hope you find them to really help you live your fullest life. Thank you for sharing with us! And I look forward to your many returns!
